Site thumbnailAcademics from The City Law School and Cass Business School offer their critique of the Attorney General's Opinion in the case which concerned a UK pub landlady who subscribed to a Greek broadcaster (rather than Sky) to show football in her pub. On 3rd February 2011 the AG's opinion stated that exclusivity agreements (where subscribers are not allowed to use foreign decoder cards to access broadcasts of football matches from outside of their territory) run counter to the free movement of services within the EU.
