The Home Office describes its purpose as 'working together to protect the public', working in the areas of counter terrorism, cutting crime, effective policing, securing borders and protecting personal identity. Their website is split according to these areas and there's also a separate part of the site for science, reserach and statistics. They have their own youtube channel too.
